The entire Imitation line by Tara Subkoff has majorly struck my fancy this afternoon. In general I might be more attracted to the black lace than the cream, but for a hippie wedding dress, the choice is clear: off-white floor length lace all the way! And for the honeymoon in Paris, I’ll be packing the black lace poncho and minidress (with *very* opaque tights to wear underneath). Check out more of the lacy (and some non-lacy) items at Bona Drag, Net-a-Porter, and Shopbop.
Fun (and also not at all fun) facts: Subkoff’s previous label was Imitation of Christ, which received mixed reviews (some believe the Imitation is better than the original). She also did a highly coveted and too-short-lived line for Easy Spirit. She has starred in several movies including The Cell and The Last Days of Disco. In 2009 Subkoff was diagnosed with a brain tumor, which was successfully removed. We’re ecstatic that she’s back in action!
