I recently teamed up with a new tea company called Pique Tea to celebrate the launch of their new tea concept: tea crystals. I threw a little party with some friends and their little ones so we could all check out this mysterious invention and have a good excuse to eat cookies and scones.

I love tea as a pick-me up during a busy afternoon of writing, but I am a forgetful person and I always leave the tea bag brewing for so long that the beverage is rather toxic by the time I get around to drinking it. So one thing I love about Pique Tea is that you simply empty a packet of tea into your glass, add 8 oz. of hot water and you’re done. Perfect every time!
In a party situation, the tea crystals were incredibly easy to serve. I had a couple pots of hot water ready on the table and scattered some Pique Tea sachets around so everyone could choose whatever type of tea they wanted. The tea took up very little table space and cleanup was a breeze with no loose leaves or tea bags to collect afterwards.
If this sounds at all like instant coffee, perish the thought because while every instant coffee I’ve tried is terrible, this tea is delicious. My favorite was the Earl Grey, but it was all good: English Breakfast, Sencha, Jasmine and Mint Sencha.
