Though I don’t have kids yet, it seems to me the trick of decorating a youngster’s room is making it child-friendly while avoiding an over-the-top Romper Room aesthetic. Am I right, parents? But there is common ground where I believe both children and adults can play nicely together. And that common ground is animals. Especially baby ones! Anyone who has forwarded a cat video, which is every person with Internet access (and I’m talking to you, husband), knows what I’m talking about.
Decorating this particular room is even harder when you have no idea when the room’s inhabitant might arrive. Such is the case with domestic foster-adoption. It is taking for-freaking-ever. And we don’t know the gender, let alone what kind of personality this little person might have (though we’re eager to find out!). But I’m pretty sure these animal photographs by Sharon Montrose would suit any child (or adult). And I might just hang out with them for a pick-me-up when I’m feeling like this whole thing might NEVER happen. Or when I’m feeling paralyzed with
terror worry excitement! about when it does.
