I was strolling downtown in San Francisco yesterday enjoying a blissful afternoon of sunshine when I saw these lovelies in the window at Aldo. My first thought was: they match my new house! My husband and I have to move because our landlord is selling our loft. We were disappointed — and by disappointed I mean freaking out — because this will be the third time we’ve moved in three years. Moving is expensive and generally sucks and there’s not much that can make it pleasant. Unless perhaps you’re moving into a 70s-fabulous house with wall to wall shag carpet! Which we are. It has three bedrooms and two bathrooms and a view of the ocean. I totally do not mean to brag! I tell you this because the rent is *lower* than what we’re paying now for a loft with 1.5 baths. The difference: the house is in Pacifica (about 15 miles south of San Francisco) and the loft is in the Mission, a hip San Francisco neighborhood. We have made peace with moving outside of the city and the endless fog everyone talks about. We’ll be cozy in front of our Danish modern fireplace (ours looks similar to this one, love!).
Anyway, the shoes! They would be fabulous with the new decor, and with just about anything, would they not?
