Jessica Quirk is a pioneer of sorts (at the ripe old age of 28) in the personal style blogging world. She started “What I Wore” in 2007 after witnessing Hong Kong’s “outfit blogging” phenomenon in action. Obviously, her site took off, and now she has a book! I love her approach: she calls it the cookbook of dressing, which I can totally relate to. Like Quirk, I can follow a recipe, but God save me and anyone who plans to eat my meals if I’m winging it. Since Quirk’s parents are total foodies and great cooks, it was a natural way for her to organize the book. Shop It To Me and Azalea boutique in San Francisco’s Hayes Valley threw a party last night to celebrate What I Wore, the book, replete with the essential champagne and cupcakes from Mission Minis. Local bookseller Booksmith was in the house selling What I Wore (Shout out to my honey badger loving friend!). And guess what? I took exactly zero photos of Ms. Quirk. GAH!! #worstphotographerever That’s why I lifted a photo from her site for my post. (Can you guess why I chose this one? Ahem hippie wedding dress!) Check out the party photos I did manage to get below!
