Creature of the Wild is one of those shows everyone is buzzing about this season. Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour showed up, and they received a prestigious CFDA after only their second collection. They hail from Chicago, and probably partly for that reason, they showed a stand-out, unique collection.
… the entire CFDA showed up, including David Neville and Marcus Wainwright from Rag and Bone, Jenna Lyons (the creative director behind JCrew), and all the major buyers and bloggers including my favorite blogger/photographer/illustrator of all time, Garance Doré.
Their presentation was amazing and immaculately curated. I loved their mix of fabric and texture. Their woman isn’t overtly sexy but definitively cool and super fashionable. Also, they have a unique perspective and voice that I haven’t seen in a long time. Their clothes had this Nordic European coolness meets Chicago suburbia.
How can you not be dying to buy their clothes after all that? I know I’m about ready for something completely different and fresh right about now. Check out Mama’s Creature of the Wind post, with a bonus close-up of some amazing silver booties.
