Mulberry celebrated its spankin’ new store in San Francisco’s Union Square with an appropriately British party last night. A line sprawled out the door with folks who wanted to get in on the fun… I managed to squeeze my way in in time for a cocktail and a handbag raffle (did not win, sniff). I even partook of a few delish oysters from London’s J Sheekey Fish Restaurant and Oyster Bar and an elderberry martini with Herefordshire-based Chase Vodka, all in keeping with the Brit theme. In addition to the usual suspects, i.e. my fabulous blogger buddies who I run into at many a San Francisco celebration, there was an impressive showing of extremely fashionable folks at this fete, including the lovely co-hosts Jennifer Siebel Newsom, actress Connie Nielsen, gallerist Sabrina Buell and Rachael Mann of Litter. They must be why Mulberry decided to open its first West Coast store in our fair city! By the way, the new interior (at the former Kenneth Cole space) is gorgeous, do pop in if you find yourself roaming Union Square. The co-hosts were decked out in Mulberry, here are the deets:
Jennifer Siebel Newsom wore Shift Dress in Nettle Green, the Woven Sandals in Nettle Green and carried the Evelina Satchel in Marshmallow White Lizard Print Leather from the SS12 collection.
Connie Nielsen carried the Tassel Lily in Black Forest, wore Panel Dress in Black both from the AW12 Main collection and the Diamond Biker in Black from the SS12 collection.
Sabrina Buell wore Star Sweater Dress in Nightshade Blue, the Ribbed Leggings in Nightshade Blue, the Woven Sandals in Nightshade Blue from the SS12 Catwalk collection and carried the Hetty Small Hobo in Ink Blue Silky Snake Print Leather from the AW12 Main collection.
Rachael Mann wore the Belted Shirt Dress in Plastic Animal Print, the Woven Sandals in Wheatfield and carried the Oversized Postman’s Lock Clutch in Fudge from the SS12 collection.
