Hey all you San Franciscans: The Bold Italic is launching a quarterly print edition they’re calling “Volume One: 25 Ways to Be Local.” It will feature a checklist of activities every SF-er should do at least once, told story style by “bold locals.” The pub hits newsstands on September 12 and will also be available in The Bold Italic’s online store for $3.
With so many pubs going digital, it’s an interesting move from the Gannett-owned formerly online-only publication. The beautifully-designed site will likely translate well into print, which they say will be heavy on great design and photography. AND it’s a great excuse for a party! They’re celebrating Friday, September 16 at Gershoni Creative, an award-winning branding agency with a “dramatic headquarters are perched in the penthouse and Beaux-arts dome of one of the city’s original landmark skyscrapers.” You can read more about the building, located at 785 Market Street, in this article, and see photos here. It makes me almost sad that I’ll be in NYC for fashion week! Details on time, etc. for the party to come, I’ll keep you posted!
