I was invited to a party happening this Thursday evening at La Boutique, a fancy, um, boutique (and art gallery!) in San Francisco’s CORRECTION: JACKSON SQUARE. Shourouk, Parisian designer of giant and sparkly (my favorite kind in every way) jewelry is making an appearance at the shop on Thursday, and they’re going all out. The boutique owners are re-creating Shourouk’s Paris atelier within La Boutique. What will that look like? Apparently graphic arts and comic strips from the silver and golden ages (yeah I had to look that up) inspire Shourouk’s work, and the party-throwers say it will be like walking into the designer’s head. Sounds pretty darn fabulous, no?
I’m not telling you all this just to brag, I want to take you with me! I have five tickets (with plus ones!) for the first five commenters on this post — you don’t even have to say anything special. Just comment and you’re on the list. Let’s go look at sparkly things and talk to people with French accents together!
