Exactly a week ago today, I got a phone call about a days-old baby girl. She was at the hospital and Child Protective Services was looking for someone to take her into their home. My husband and I have been trying to foster a baby with the intention of adopting for several years, so this was basically the moment we’d been waiting for. I called Kourosh at work: “Are you sitting down?”
We picked her up at 5pm that same day. This is her (wearing her first tie-dye maxi!). We are totally in love and spending this week feeding, changing, burping, and holding her. And hopefully sleeping sometimes? And going for a walk or two to show Frida her first glimpse of the Pacific Ocean. I’ll be back to blogging as much as Frida will let me next week!
P.S. The little black and white tiger is a gift from Frida’s very generous friend Genevieve. Thank you Gigi!!
